Option 1: Civic integration (Inburgeren) with the Civic Integration Exam (Inburgeringsexamen)

Option I: Civic Integration (Inburgeren) with the Civic Integration Exam (Inburgeringsexamen)You passed the Basic Civic Integration Examination Abroad. You want to take the Civic Integration Exam Netherlands with the parts Reading A2, Listening A2, Wrtiting A2 and Speaking A2 and ONA (Orientation on the Dutch Jobmarket)

At Suitcase talen you start with BeginnersA2.

After you  have passed the 5 parts of the Civic Integration Exam Netherlands, you have complied with your civic integration requirements and you may ask for a permanent residence permit or naturalization. At language level A2 (see language levels CEFR) you do not yet know enough Dutch for social life and you are not yet able to arrange practical matters in Dutch.

Students of Suitcase talen prefer to do one of the State Exams instead of the Civic integration Exam. In the first place the language level A2 (see language levels CEFR) is too low to work. Second: At A2   social talk with relatives or neighbours is still very tiring. Third: many candidates have to redo the heavy Reading part once or twice and last: the job market words that candidates have to study for ONA are very difficult for A2-students.

For those reasons, Suitcase talen does not offer ONA or exam training for the Civic integration Exam. Instead, Suitcase talen offers effective programmes for the civic-integration options 2 and 3: State Exam NT2 Programme I or State Exam NT2 Programme II

However, at Suitcase talen it is possible to prepare for the language part of the Civic Integration Exam by following the course Beginners A2.

Duration: 4 months, costs € 975,- + materials € 90,-

Option 2: Civic integration (Inburgeren) with State Exam Programme I (Staatsexamen I)

Option 2: Civic Integration (Inburgeren) with State Exam Programme I (Staatsexamen I) You pass the State Exam in Dutch as a second Language ( State Exam NT2 Programme I) after completing two evening courses (BeginnersA2  and B1), the Exam training ONA and the Exam Training State Exam I. Those who have arrived in the Netherlands after 1-1-2015, have to pass ONA. Only highly skilled knowledgeworkers who do State Exam Programme I are exempt of ONA.

With State Exam NT2 Programme I you have complied with your civic integration requirements and you may ask for a permanent residence permit or naturalization. At language level B1 (see language levels CEFR) you know enough Dutch to function socially and to arrange practical matters. You can work in Dutch in intermediate jobs and you have admission to a Dutch school for intermediate professional education (mbo).

Option 3: Civic integration (Inburgeren) with State Exam Programme II (Staatsexamen II)

Option 3: civic integration with state exam programme II (Staatsexamen II)You pass the State Exam in Dutch as a second Language ( Staatsexamen NT2 Programme II) after completing three evening courses (BeginnersA2, B1 and B2.1) and, on Saturday morning, Exam training State Exam Programme II.

Exam training ONA on Saturday morning is optional and can be done simultaneously with your last evening course, B2.1.

After having passed State Exam II you have complied with your civic integration requirements and you may ask for a permanent residence permit or naturalization. At language level B2 (see language levels CEFR) you know more than enough Dutch to function socially and to arrange practical matters. You have admission to Dutch at Dutch higher professional education (hbo) and University (wo) to study in Dutch. Also, you laid the language foundation for a higher function in a Dutch company or organization.
